
Winning businesses at The Wells Fargo Championship
The challenge:
Wells Fargo were looking for a creative way to tell the story of how they work tirelessly, behind the scenes, for the benefit of their customers via a TVC during the broadcast of The Wells Fargo Championship.
The Idea:
Since our audience are Golf fans, let’s use the game, and all its very relatable nuances as metaphors for Wells Fargo’s role in the lives of its customers.
The Execution:
These two spots aired during Wells Fargo Open commercial breaks, so it made sense for us to use golf to tell our story.
In the first spot, we went with the Greenskeeper as the personification of Wells Fargo. As the Greenskeeper prepares the course for you to play your best, so too does Wells Fargo work behind the scenes to ensure its customers are always playing at their best.
In the second spot, we used Golf as a representation of the journey of a small business owner.
You take your first shot with everybody watching. Up there on the tee box, all eyes are on you, waiting to see if you fly or fail. And even if you hit it perfectly, the game is only just beginning.
Even an incredible drive requires methodical approach shots, adjustments to strategy, adaptation to unforeseen circumstances; the exact same challenges small business owners face every day.
